UPDATE ON MEMBERSHIP (Saturday 24 January)

At the most recent committee meeting, the timing of the start of our membership year (January) was discussed. The committed voted unanimously to change the start of the membership year to 1 April in line with other local clubs and to start this from April 2026 (i.e. this year).  

This means that 2026 subscriptions are not due until 31st March and that everyone who was a member in 2025 will get 15 months membership for the price of 12! 

 

If you are planning to rejoin but want to take advantage of the delayed payment date then it would be helpful for rotas if you could let us know you are planning to rejoin by dropping an email to info@surbitonmethodisttenni.org.

Membership fees for 2026 can be found in the highlighted box to the right, or a little further down the page if reading on a mobile.  Please can all fees be paid in full by the end of MARCH 2026.

 

Subscriptions run from APRIL to APRIL (members joining mid year are usually given pro-rata rates).

​

The one off joining fee is £40 for adults, and £70 for family membership. All adult/family applications need to be agreed by the club committee.

 

The club meets all year round on Saturday afternoons from 1:30pm, with cups of tea being served  at about 4pm (including cakes during the summer). 

​

Included in the membership are coaching sessions for adult and junior members throughout the summer months. There are also coaching courses which you can pay for.

Members can also apply for annual concessionary social membership at Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club. This costs £60.

​

Courts are available for play daily except on Friday evenings in the summer, which is reserved for juniors' coaching. On Sundays in respect to Surbiton Methodist Church play is only allowed after 12.30pm.

 

We have 3 qualified coaches available for private lessons and a number of group lessons.  You can find out more about there here

 

The club runs on a “self help” basis and members are asked to assist with tasks such as preparing teas and washing up, cleaning and maintaining the pavilion, cutting the grass, maintaining the grounds, and helping at juniors.  Rotas are displayed on the notice board. and on the website.
