Membership Information

Membership fees for 2026 can be found in the highlighted box to the right, or a little further down the page if reading on a mobile.

Subscriptions run from 1 APRIL to 31 MARCH (members joining mid year are usually given pro-rata rates).

Interested in Membership?

If you are interested in knowing more about membership, please email  info@surbitonmethodisttennis.org or come down to a Saturday club afternoon (2-4pm) and introduce yourself.

All adult/family applications need to be agreed by members of the club committee.  It may be determined that an applicant's level is not high enough to play at club afternoons and lessons will therefore be recommended.

Membership details and perks

The club meets all year round on Saturday afternoons from 1:30pm for doubles play.  Between April and October, tea and cake are served at about 4pm.  At all other times (with the exception of Friday evenings in the summer when our junior program runs) members are permitted to use the courts individually whenever they are available- this is on a first come first served basis.

There are also drop-in mid-week mixed club sessions as follows:

  • Tuesday 9.30-11am

  • Thursday 9.30-11am

Free coaching sessions for adult and junior members take place throughout the summer months.  We have 3 qualified coaches available for private lessons and a number of group lessons all year round.  You can find out more about there here.

Members also have access to a ball machine and hitting wall.  New balls are used every Saturday and are available in the outdoor WC/storage room for the next week

The club runs on a “self help” basis and all members are required to join one of two rotas: teas & cleaner or maintenance.   Joining in with these duties helps to keep our membership fees low.

Members can also apply for annual concessionary social membership at Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club. This costs £60.

Membership Application Form

Once your membership has been approved, you will be asked to complete the below online membership form.  Please do not complete this form until you have had confirmation on your membership.  Following an approved application, new members are granted access to the Member's section of the website.
